The Winthrop P. Rockafeller Cancer Institute introduces sustainable green spaces to the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences Campus.  From the streetscape plaza to the fountain garden, responsible water conservation and use of native plant material no only create a tranquil destination, but also serve as an educational environment for all who visit.  EDG was also commissioned for master planning services for the UAMS Healthy Innovations Business Village.  With sustainability at the forefront of the design, on-site stormwater treatment in the form of wetlands not only provides an ecological haven for native flora and fauna, but also inspires active exploration of the campus.  The project demonstrates the connection between healthy lifestyles and healthy environments.
